Grahame Copplestone is a Partner in our Litigation Department.
Grahame is a specialist in complex commercial plaintiff and defence litigation including arbitration, mediation and dispute resolution.
Grahame is also experienced in general litigation matters and has extensive experience in bringing and defending cases in the District, Circuit and High Courts as well as the Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court. He further advises a number of financial institutions and Receivers on judgement and recovery strategies as part of our Receiverships and Liquidations Team.
Grahame’s corporate clients benefit from his extensive court experience, commercial awareness and canny negotiating skills in assisting them to a speedy resolution.
He qualified as a Solicitor in 1979 and in 1985 immigrated to the United States where he obtained a Juris Doctorate in Law from Fordham Law School, New York. In 1990, having passed the Texas Bar Exam he worked as an Attorney in the State of Texas for five years specialising in Commercial and Banking Litigation. Grahame also practiced in the Federal Bankruptcy Courts.
In 1995 Grahame returned to Ireland to work in private practice.
