David O’Mahony

David is a Partner in our Corporate and Commercial Department.

David specialises in the areas of Employment, Family Law, and general Litigation matters. He has extensive court experience and has represented clients successfully in all courts including The Supreme Court, The Labour Court and The Coroner’s Court.

In the area of Employment Law, he has extensive experience of acting for both employers and employees and has acted for a diverse range of clients including International organisations 

Alongside his focus on employment law, David also specialises in the areas of –

  • Dispute Resolution
  • Licensing matters
  • Medical Negligence litigation
  • Judicial Review cases
  • Personal Injuries actions

David graduated from University College Cork in 1994, with BCL and LLM degrees. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1996 and has practiced in Cork since and has also lectured students in University College Cork and The Irish Tax Institute. He is a keen sports fan and played hurling for Cork at Minor level. In his spare time he plays golf and is involved in managing and coaching underage teams.
