Crona Hughes

Crona Hughes is a Partner in our Commercial Property Department.

Crona is a property solicitor and focuses her practice primarily on property transactions, both commercial and residential, and also practices in the area of Wills & Estate Planning. Crona advises a broad range of clients including Financial Institutions, Local Authorities, Planning Consultants, Property Developers and Management Companies. She works closely with experts such as Engineers, Architects, Taxation and Wealth and Succession Planners in achieving outcomes for her clients. .

She acts on behalf of developer clients in the acquisition of development lands, the structuring of development schemes and subsequent disposal of units. She acts for lending institutions in the drafting and finalising of security for those institutions.

Crona is an active member of Network Cork. She served on the Southern Law Association Council with responsibility for Continuing Professional Development. She also worked on a voluntary basis with the Free Legal Aid Council.

Crona previously worked in firms in Limerick and Offaly before joining Barry M O’Meara & Son Solicitors in 1999. She holds a degree in Law and European Studies from the University of Limerick.

Crona has a keen interest in sailing and sails with Garrykennedy Sailing Club and the Royal Cork Yacht Club where she is an active member.
